1. Bus people arrive at 8 am.

Sign in, WASH YOUR HANDS FOR 20 SECONDS, don a clean apron.
It’s helpful to have 1 bus person at the bus table and 1 circulating among tables to clear dishes that guests leave.

-Collect used tableware and wipe up vacant table spaces.

-Carry filled dish containers to the kitchen and bring out empty ones.

Help guests empty plates into appropriate containers
  • plastic and aluminum-recycling
  • eggs, meat, dairy-trash
  • pancakes, coffee, fruit separate compost bins
  • milk cartons of less than 1/2 gallon-trash
  • dishes, cups, bowls-plain bus tub
  • silverware- bus tub with soapy water
  • cloth napkin-laundry hamper

-The custodian asks that we use 2 trash cans as 1 would get too heavy.

-Toward the end of the meal, the first priority is to get all the dishes and tableware to the dishwasher.

-Clear and sanitize tables.
